May 2021 (Mothers’ Day Weekend)
1st Sally Stafferton – Salmon – 63cm – 1.98 kg
2nd Kerry Field – Flatty – 33cm – 180gm
The weather was mostly good for this long weekend. The fish seemed to be plenty, although most reported catching numerous small pinkies and flatties not big enough for weigh in.
In the end winners were:
1st – Andrew Godfrey – Pinky 1.64kg
2nd – Michelle Godfrey – Flatty 680g
Andrew won a $50 voucher donated by the Riverview Hotel, Tarwin Lower.
Although a few members fished this weekend, getting to weigh in was an issue due to tide times! Luckily Terry managed to get there, taking out the first prize of a $50 voucher donated by the Cavity.
With 11 paid up entries into this comp, only four ended up measuring fish in.
As stated in the information sent out, there was a first prize awarded and a mystery length prize. Standings were:
1st Prize – Michelle Godfrey – 49cm
Mystery Length – Phil Nebel – 40.5cm
The committee are hoping to run more of these special events throughout the year.
