Saturday the 7th of August, we held our annual competition with the
Hampton Park Tavern Angling Club.
This has become a regular annual event, which we all look forward to.
This spit roast we fired up for the Saturday evening and thanks
to Hampton Park for supplying the roast!
Around 70 people packed into "The Shed" and a great night was had by all accounts.
The food was delicious and although I wasn't there, I am sure the aroma of that
meat cooking would have been delightful!
Just a reminder to you all, that every competition weekend, we do hold a BYO barbie
for all our members on the Friday night.
Fishy Tales After The Comp.
This week there are no actual "fishy Tales" as such, but I think special mention
this competition, must go to our President Gary, for being the unluckiest member.
Not only did Gary get his car bogged (in his own driveway) this weekend,
but he also tore the tendons in his hand, locking up "The Shed". At last sighting,
he had been to the hospital, and was all bandaged up!
